Hello friends from the inter-webs,
Small update:
It has been quite a while since I last posted, and although last year I told myself that I was going to post at least once a week, I wasn't able to. The reason being that I am honestly really busy with college right now. And I am determined to ace all my class, well at least try to. But it's so much work that it takes up a lot of my time. But I am still going to try and post as often as I can. The posts won't be long but, I'm going to try my best to at least post something that I think you may find interesting. So on to this post...

Not my photo. But this is the outside view.
Like stated above I have been quite busy, and so this meant that I had also not had the chance or time to hang out with none of my friends, but last week after a test I was free and willing to do something even if it meant going alone, but I had to get out and take sometime away from my studies. And to my "luck", one of my closest friends, had the day off from work and school, so like we always do we headed to this AMAZING hang out place called "Tout Suite"( It's honestly the best!) I don't want to over-hype it but it's pretty rad, and it's even perfect to go and do homework and even to meet new people if you're good at that, because the environment there is perfect for that.

As soon as we got there we order some macaroons as the appetizers. My personal favorite ones are the "crème brulée" and if you haven't tried those, I highly recommend that you do, and if you do try them hopefully you're not disappointed with them, because I honestly can not get enough of them. My friend order two of the Nutella ones and they are also pretty good. With that we order a vanilla latte, and it was about time I got it right, because last time I went I ordered a hazelnut latte and let's just say that I am never going to get that again. It's a NO from me Hazelnut Latte, sorry.

As our main meal we got one club sandwich, which I hadn't had before, but I felt that it was going to be big so we decide on only ordering one and splitting it in half. With the sandwich we got a side of a kale caesar salad (I believe) or maybe it was just a kale salad, but nonetheless it was good as well. I almost forgot we also got a side of avocado toast, but it was more than I expected so we ended up taking that home. I also didn't take a before picture of all of the food, so after we were almost done my friend was like "Oh no! We didn't take a picture, so this means it didn't really happen." Quite funny, but it did indeed happen, just to be clear, haha :).

And so with that being said we were able to catch up on a few things that have been happening in our lives most recently, and it was really nice, it felt like if I hadn't seen her in forever, because in a way i hadn't, I mean not literally forever, but you know it had been a long time since the last time we had hung out. You know it feels really great to sit and catch up, back when I was in high school it wasn't usual of me to do this, because I would see my friends everyday in school, meaning that we had the next day to look forward to since we knew we would be there, but you know once you leave high school, you and your friends head different directions and it gets pretty tough to find time for each other when you have completely different schedules and so on. But its amazing once you get together even if it's for a few minutes, because at least you know the friendship between you and that person is still there, also, even if it means that you see each other once every 2 months or more. Like I always heard people say communication is key to a long lasting relationships. Meaning that if you really want to keep a friend you have to keep a hold of each other. Although if I'm honest, i have in fact lost friends because the communication just died on both ends, and that's probably one of the saddest things that can happen. But even through all that, I am becoming more self-aware that maybe not all your friends are meant to last forever, because in the end you will still have the memories you shared with them in your heart to forever cherish them.

(I didn't mean to make this quite sad at the end, so this is why I will post another picture of the restroom floor in the tout suite, which i found pretty fascinating.)

Hello lovely people of the inter-webs,

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... ❅ ☃ ❅ (you've probably heard this a lot by now) but is true. I hope you are having a wonderful time and are probably as excited as I am for Christmas. According to my count down to christmas there is 15 days until then. And that seems so soon, especially since I feel like time will pass by quick.

And with this time around thus gift wrapping must happen. I'm usually the one thats up to wrap all the gifts because there's something about it that makes me feel so satisfied. I know in the end they will tear it and all the work that was put seems like nothing, but for me at least if they are happy I am happy. So with that being said I have for you a small glimpse of how I will be wrapping the gifts for family + friends. And if I'm honest I am so happy with the results that are coming up by this method.

So first things first
I want to say...

And now...

Supplies.
String.
Tape.
Stamps + Pigment Ink.

The Result
They come out pretty simple and minimalist, and overall is not anything to difficult to achieve. Is the same as any normal gift wrapping paper, but instead you are making it your own and different. I know is probably not for everyone but I hope you enjoyed my short post on how I'll be gift wrapping this year.

Supplies:
★
Tape
Craft paper
Pigment Ink
Small jingle bells
Stamps (mine were DIY)
Hemp Cord (or any decorative string)
and last but not
 least you're creativity
to make them all unique
and different.
P.S. I am pretty sure you can find all this items at your local dollar store/ Walmart/ or Michael's Craft.

Hello lovely people of the inter-webs,

I hope you are doing great and have a lovely day.♡ If there is two things I love is the cold weather and sweaters so it was just perfect for me to answer this at some point during this time of year.

Sweater Weather Tag

1. Favorite candle scent?
I personally love anything that has an outdoor scent to it but the ones that I have used recently and love are the Black Tie, 'Tis The Season and Summer Bonfire. And they were all purchased from Bath & Body Works/White Barn.

2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
This is a difficult question because I honestly love all three of them depending on my mood or what I feel like getting, but if I had to choose it would be coffee as I tend to drink a lot of that every morning.

3. What's the best fall memory you have?
I can't really answer this just because, I feel that each fall or year with that being said, we get to experience amazing moments that you can't possibly choose just one fall memory, but for the sake of this question, I will say that around this time last year I went to The 1975 concert and it was such an amazing day.

4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?
Although I don't wear makeup, I have always wanted to try the dark lip colors not so much for the season but because I love dark colors, so yeah I have to go with the dark lips.

5. Best fragrance for fall?
I don't usually wear any specific fragrances for fall, but I do like using my sisters One Direction perfume, it's actually really good and scent is just perfect.

6. Favorite Thanksgiving food?
My favorite Thanksgiving food or in general has to definitely be mashed potatoes, I love it so much I can never have enough.

7. What is autumn weather like where you live?
I don't like this question because the fall weather from where I am, for the most part is never cold, I guess it does get cooler once winter gets here but during the Autumn is still hot or humid, but we occasionally get cool/fresh days.

8. Most worn sweater?
These are the top 3 sweaters/jumpers I wore most of the time last year, and I'm most likely going to wear them again this year, soon after it actually gets colder here in Texas, because they are thick material and right now the weather is suited for a light sweater/jacket.

9. Must-have nail polish this fall?
Not so much must-have, but burgundy is a pretty rad color to have!

10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?
This so hard to choose because I have always enjoyed my Soccer games that usually happen in the Fall/Winter time but jumping in a pile of leaves does sound like it would be fun, although if I actual think about it, I would hurt myself more if I jump in a pile of leaves! ha ha

11. Skinny jeans or leggings?
I have to choose both, only because I wear both of them a lot, and either one is perfect for what you happened to be wearing.

12. Combat boots or Uggs?
Definitely combat boots, I have never owned a pair of Uggs so I don't know if I would like them or not. But I guess they do seem comfortable.

13. Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
I have never tried it so I wouldn't know if it's worth the hype. But I have always wanted to try it although I never get around to getting one or trying it.

14. Favorite fall TV show?
Not sure if they are considered fall shows, but I love watching Once upon a time and Project Runway especially during this time of year.

15. What song really gets you into the fall spirit?
Well I have so many songs that get me in the fall spirit and I made a blog post about the playlist called "My Autumn/Fall Playlist", but the first song that I thought about whilst reading this question was Bloom by The Paper Kites, it has such a good sound and it makes you feel good and the vibes it gives off is amazing! PURE PERFECTION! :)

Hello lovely people of the inter-webs,

How are you today? I am doing pretty great if you would like to know, I mean the closer it gets to Thanksgiving and then Christmas the more I get excited. But aside from that the reason why I am writing this post is to let you know of my experience with the app FreePrints. I am not sure how I found out about this app but I am so glad that I found it. A brief run down of the app is basically that you can get free physical photos that you may have on your phone or computer all free aside from shipping cost. And for me I didn't have to think twice about it because I am so into having the physical copies so this app made my life easier to get the pictures that I take from my phone. For my first order I actually got the photos completely free of charge from shipping. I placed my order and so the wait began. Now I am going to be honest shipping took awhile but in my defense they were free so i couldn't complain about it but then again they probably took longer to arrive due to bad weather in my area and shipping being delay, but whatever the case, I didn't mind the wait. Although if you have a problem with shipping wait you can choose a faster option but you will pay extra.
So here is what I got...

They came in this neat envelope.
I got a total of 10 prints but I will show you four of them which I'm trying to work with to place on a frame.

This is in the back of each photo.
My overall thought on these photos is that they are amazing quality and I couldn't be happier with my order. Before I even received them, I did worry a bit only because it was one of those too good to be true moments, so if they didn't come out so great I would have guess. But it wasn't the case, the pictures as you have seen are extremely clear and with no defects. I loved them so much and I honestly cannot wait to place another order soon. They do give you this invite code when you sign up so you can share it with family & friends so if you wish to (but you don't have to) you can use my invite code which is: ribarra30

P.S. If you celebrate Christmas have you started shopping for gifts? or do you usually wait until last minute? :D

Hello lovely people of the inter-webs,

So we all know that Autumn is finally amongst us but you know what, I can't help but to be jealous of the northern states that are actually experiencing low and cold temperatures. I personally love the cold, so I would much rather suffer from having low temperatures then having to deal with summer and the high temperatures. Here in Texas the temperatures are yet to get lower so it feels as if we are still in summer. But because I don't like complaining about these things I have made a compilation of songs that in my opinion give me an Autumn/Fall vibe and through that I have hope that the temperatures will soon get lower.  I mean come on give me a break my closet is basically made up of sweaters so I think is about time I get the chance to wear them...(inserts crying face here).

So without further ado here is my Autumn Vibes Playlist:

I am not sure if you can see the letters properly in the paper, my typewriter was running out of ink so my apologies.

Also, I am pretty sure I missed a few more songs that in my opinion give me that Autumn time of the year feeling but here are the songs I was able to think off from the top of my head the day I created this playlist.

P.S. This is such a short post, but I had been quite busy in school.

Hello lovely people of the inter-webs,

I hope you are all having a wonderful day or night which ever it is from where you are. As you can tell by the title this blog post will be about my nomination for the Liebster Award, and i was none other than nominated by the amazing blogger Mads, so thank you so much for that.

The rules for this award are...

1. Post a link back to the blogger who nominated you.

2. Answer the 10 questions that the person who nominated gave you.

3. Nominate 10 bloggers (or blogs).

4. Give your nominees a set of 10 new questions for them to answer.

5. Also don't forget to include the Liebster award sticker in your post.

My Questions from Mads:

1. What is your favourite makeup brand?
     - Well actually I don't have a favourite makeup brand, because i don't wear any.

2. If you could go anywhere tomorrow, where would you instantly go?
     - If I could go anywhere tomorrow, I would most definitely take a flight to Brighton, England. I have been dreaming of visiting the UK in general but ever since a friend (Greta) went there for a school trip (i believe) and she loved it, I am even more excited to visit there and hopefully that happens soon.

3. When did you start blogging and what made you start?
     - I cant remember the exact day but i made a blogger account about a year ago actually, it was in october 2014, but like everything new I begin I created the account but never actually posted anything and once i rediscovered my account again I decided to stick to writing and so I'm here. I know I am not constant in writing on here but slowly I am getting better and better at it.

4. If you could talk to a younger version of yourself what advice would you give?
     - This is such a difficult question for me personally to answer because although at times when I look back to when I was younger and wished there would have been someone to advice me that whatever I was worrying about or going through was going to be okay in the end. I think twice and realized that in my case if it wasn't for all the risks that i had to take without having someone guide me or advice me through life, it wouldn't have lead me to who i am now. And I don't want to make myself seem like a narcissistic but I guess I really wouldn't want to change the person I am today, because even through the rough days that i go through, I am content with myself. And to be honest I know this is not the answer you were looking for but if you see it this way, we were brought to this world without any guide book or rules to make life go easy so if you have lived life taking risks and are happy with how it turned out, then you wouldn't wish to change anything. We just have to realized that life is a mystery to me as it is to you and we just have to learn to go with your gut and begin living life as you want to. So technically speaking I wouldn't advice myself anything because i will just have to learn the hard way. And that is sort of mean to say, but that is my personal opinion.

5. What is one make up item you couldn't live without?
     - I don't have a makeup item that i couldn't live without because after all i don't use any.

6. What was the last song you listened to?
     - The last song i listened to was Trouble by Imagine Dragons. I love this band so much, you wouldn't understand my love for them.

7. Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what is it?
     - I have thought long and hard about this and I don't have a hidden talent, unless you call going days without sleeping as a talent then that would be my talent. haha. Just kitten, don't take that seriously. But honestly i don't think i have a hidden talent...(sadly).

8. Books or movies? If so, which one specifically?
     - I can not choose between the two, because I honestly love to read a lot, but watching movies is also a great experience to have, because who doesn't like to just sit and watch at a screen for like 2 and a half hours.

9. Where is your favourite place to eat out?
     - My favourite place to eat out would most definitely be this Mexican restaurant that is like 15 minutes away from my house called "Los molcajetes", is honestly the bomb dot com. Love it!

10. What is on top of your current beauty wish list?
     - The top thing on my beauty list is to get new nail polishes that coordinate with the fall colours. Yes I can not wait to go to my local Walmart and purchase a few dark tone nail polishes. Do you have any recommendations?

My nominees are...

1. Em B: http://emjbarker.blogspot.com

2. What was the first thought you had this morning?

3. What do you feel most proud about?

4. Who is someone you admire or look up to as role model?

5. What are you most afraid of?

6. If you could play or be any TV show character who and from what show would it be?

7. If you could witness any event of the past, present or future, what would it be? and why?

8. What are 3 albums, movie soundtracks, or records that define you or shape you as a person?

9. What is something you have always wanted to try but have been to afraid too?

10. What is your favourite season of the year? And why would you say is your favourite season?

And that is all for this post. Thank you again so much Mads for the nomination, I feel so grateful. Sending lots of love to you and everyone who is reading this.
